Making a Difference

At Ashbourne Paving, we believe in more than just building great spaces.

We believe in building a stronger, kinder community.

Why & How We Help

At Ashbourne Paving, giving back is at the heart of what we do. It’s not just about transforming outdoor spaces, but about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Whether it’s helping someone who’s been through tough times or offering a special moment to someone who has given so much to others, we believe in using what we do best to spread a little joy.

We choose the people we help carefully, usually through nominations from friends, family, or the community. Every project, from garden makeovers to surprise holidays, is to bring happiness and relief to someone who truly deserves it.

It’s not about the size of the gesture but the impact it has on their lives.

Gracie’s Dream Garden:

A Heartwarming Gift

Gracie May is a lively six-year-old girl with cerebral palsy who has faced more challenges than most children her age.

Born prematurely, Gracie has spent her life in a wheelchair, and though her spirit is full of joy, her home’s outdoor space wasn’t accessible for her. Her mum, Carla, had long wished for a safe garden where Gracie could enjoy the outdoors, but the cost of transforming the space was out of reach.

Stepping In to Help

When we at Ashbourne Paving learned about Carla and Gracie’s situation through a local mum, Martina, we knew we had to do something.

Without hesitation, we decided to create a safe, accessible space for Gracie—giving her the garden she truly deserved.

A Garden Full of Laughter

In just one day, our team transformed their backyard into a smooth, wheelchair-friendly area where Gracie now spends most of her time. Seeing her joy fills us with pride.

At Ashbourne Paving, it’s about more than paving—we’re committed to helping families like Gracie’s feel at home in their outdoor spaces.

Supporting FSN Finglas:

A Lifeline for Our Community

At Ashbourne Paving, we believe in taking action for causes that matter.

That’s why we were proud to support FSN Finglas, a free suicide bereavement counselling service, by sponsoring and participating in their annual charity marathon.

Our very own Trevor ran an incredible 21km, helping raise vital funds for FSN’s life-saving services.

Bringing the Community Together

The marathon was more than just a race—it was a powerful show of unity. Participants from all walks of life came together to run, cheer, and contribute towards mental wellness in Finglas.

With every step, we not only raised money but awareness for FSN Finglas’ mission to provide support for those at risk of suicide, those self-harming, and bereaved families.

A Beacon of Hope

FSN Finglas is a vital part of our community, offering free, life-changing support to those affected by suicide, self-harm, and bereavement.

Their partnership with Pieta House and Oasis Counselling ensures that individuals and families have access to the help they need.

We’re proud to support their incredible work and the positive impact they have on mental wellness.

Brendan’s Journey:

A Well-Deserved Holiday After Surviving 14 Years of Cancer

Brendan’s story is truly remarkable. After 14 long years of battling cancer, including six and a half years at stage 4, it was clear he deserved a break—a chance to just breathe and enjoy life. Surprising him with his first-ever holiday felt like the perfect way to give him that well-earned moment of peace.

He brought his son along, making it a special father-son trip. In the end, we decided to double his spending money from €500 to €1,000 because we wanted them to enjoy every moment without worrying about the little things. It wasn’t planned, but it felt right to make sure their trip was as memorable as possible.

We’ll always remember the day we showed up at Brendan’s house to surprise him (after some wandering around trying to find it). Once we arrived, seeing his face light up made every wrong turn worthwhile. His reaction was priceless—pure joy, a moment that reminded us why we love giving back

Men’s Mental Health Group

This section will introduce your men's mental health group.

Focus on how this group offers a safe space for men to talk openly about their emotions and mental wellbeing. Emphasise the supportive, non-judgemental environment and how it has positively impacted the community.

Style Notes: Keep the tone compassionate and approachable. Use simple, direct language that feels human and welcoming. Avoid jargon or overly formal language.

Garden Makeovers for Families

Dee, one of our recent garden makeover winners, was delighted to receive a €5,000 transformation for her outdoor space.

She was so thrilled with the result that she even did a little dance to celebrate! It’s moments like these that remind us how much a beautiful garden can mean to someone.
